Area Ommen and Vechtdal

Ommen has many places of interest. The versatile nature such as forests, heaths, sand drifts, rivers Vecht and Regge bring people who love peace and nature to Ommen. This unique city located in the heart of the Vechtdal is the starting point for every trip or stay. Ommen has many sights and you can see them by foot or bike. The estates, castles, mills, churches and the Ommerschans give you a glimpse into the history of the region. Wonderful to see! It is not without reason that the municipality of Ommen was chosen as the walking municipality of the Netherlands in 2013.
